For several years, we were able to make the house, stove and kitchen available to a different culinary scholar every summer. They were invited to Libken to experiment with regional produce and try out new recipes. The tradition of the Lange Tafel (long table) dates back to this time. Since then, the format has been revived about once a year, usually in fall, at harvest time.
When: 12.10.2022, from 5 pm inauguration of outdoors installation and food, as of 8 pm Bar Paradieschen, bonfire and music

We will close the 2024 season with an autumnal meal at a long table and the inauguration of a new outdoor installation on the Libken grounds. Please join us for this event!
BEYOND SHELTER is a project by Jonas Klock. The nomadic shelter architecture that he crafted is an attempt to unify his love for design, architecture, and adventure. It encourages to rethink our relationship with the natural world and its resources. And it is an invitation to shared experiences and hospitality. Until October 8th, 2024 the installation will be on display at ACRE in Kreuzberg. On the 12th of October, we will inaugurate it in Libken.*
storie di fagioli (bean stories) will be served at chef Cécile Kobels Lange Tafel (long table). “I believe that there lies something precise and special in simplicity and repetition. And so, I'm looking forward to serve a variety of beans in Libken. Each dish is completed with seasonal and regional greens and products. The often underrated bean will be given centre stage."**
Once the last beans are eaten, we move to bonfire, music and tasty drinks by the mobile Bar Paradieschen, which Olaf Maurer runs out of an old firefighter van. This summer, Olaf and the bar have been on many trips all around Uckermark – und even on TV. We're happy that they will ring in the autumn season together with us. The bar is open for everyone. You don't have to have been at the dinner.
*BEYOND SHELTER will remain on the Libken grounds also after October 12th and can be visited and climbed upon at every time.
